A number of Qatari pilgrims are performing Haj this year, with the costs covered by HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
The pilgrims who were included in the Emiri gesture were hosted over a number of Haj missions.
Speaking to reporters accompanying the Qatari Haj mission, pilgrims benefiting from the Emiri gesture expressed their gratitude and appreciation to HH the Emir who helped them perform the fifth pillar of Islam.
They highlighted the generous gesture of HH the Emir who helped them achieve their hope in performing the Haj, praying that this gesture will count in HH the Emir’s good deeds.
The Qatari pilgrims’ affairs office in Makkah said that all the Emiri gesture pilgrims are Qatari citizens, adding that the gesture covered all Haj expenses and is granted annually to a number of Qatari citizens within the number of pilgrims allocated to Qatar.
Meanwhile, HE the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Dr Ghaith bin Mubarak al-Kuwari, who is also the head of Qatar’s Haj mission, has toured the camps of Qatar’s pilgrims at the holy sites of Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah.
The minister inspected the preparations at the camps in Mina and Arafat and ensured their readiness to receive
Qatar’s pilgrims.
He listened to a briefing by Haj mission officials on services and amenities provided to Qatar’s pilgrims in order to facilitate the performance of rituals for them.
Dr Abdul Salam al-Qahtani, executive chairman of the Haj delegation, accompanied the minister during the visit along with a number of unit heads and officials from the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
