HGH receives 500 emergency cases
Hamad General Hospital (HGH) received more than 500 emergency cases yesterday from 6am to 5pm. Five accidents were reported, including one that caused the death of a person. Al Wakra Hospital emergency received more than 200 cases during the same period yesterday. Ambulance Service took more than 200 calls seeking help. Most cases were minor and were discharged from the hospital yesterday itself. The Paediatric Emergency Centre (PEC) at Al Sadd received a total of 266 cases from 6am to 5pm, followed by 107 at PEC Al Rayyan, 40 at PEC Airport and 16 at PEC Al Thayyan.

Bombing in Turkish city condemned
The State of Qatar yesterday strongly condemned the bombing that targeted a police station in the Turkish city of Van yesterday, injuring dozens of people. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Qatar’s “full solidarity with the Turkish Republic in all actions and measures it takes to counter these heinous criminal acts and to maintain the country’s security and stability”. The ministry’s statement reiterated Qatar’s firm stance that “rejects violence and terrorism in all their forms and manifestations and whatever their motives and causes”.
