Qatar participated in the ‘Our Ocean’ conference, held recently at the headquarters of the US State Department in Washington, DC. Qatar was represented by HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi. The conference focused on key issues such as marine protected areas, sustainable fisheries, marine pollution and climate-related impact on the ocean. The event was attended by a number of world leaders, foreign and environment ministers, scientists, philanthropists, heads of civil society and heads of companies from across 90 countries.
