Leaders send condolences to Saudi king

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani have sent cables of condolences to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia on the death of Princess Nouf bint Bader bin Abdulaziz al-Saud.

President of Chile greeted

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani yesterday sent cables of congratulations to Chile’s President Michelle Bachelet on the anniversary of her country’s Independence Day.

Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi has met separately with Guinea-Bissau’s Foreign Minister Suarez Sambo, Indonesia’s Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, South Africa’s Foreign Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, and Director General of the Slovenian Foreign Ministry David Brozina on the sidelines of the 17th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, currently in session in the Venezuelan island of Margarita. During the meetings, they discussed bilateral relations.

Environment inspection campaign
The patrols of the Environment, Protectorates and Wildlife Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) has spotted 13 various environmental violations and issued 22 warnings during Eid al-Adha holidays.
The violations including grazing camels in the open, littering in the desert, discarding nylon fishing nets in non-designated areas, and other issues. Violation reports were issued and the violators were referred to the security department concerned to take the necessary legal procedures against them.
The Eid inspection campaign at the fish market at Al Wakrah municipality resulted in destroying around 500kg of rotten fish, including 350kg in a single day. Al Khor Family Park received around 40,000 visitors during the Eid holidays.
