Inspectors from the Health Control Section at Doha Municipality have detected the unauthorised storage of foodstuff inside a workers' accommodation in the Bin Omran area.
The place was being used to store expired foodstuff as well as other food items in unhygienic conditions.
Accordingly, a violation report was issued for flouting Law No 8 of 1990 on the regulation of human food control, and necessary legal procedures were initiated against the offender.
Meanwhile, the Municipal Affairs Department in the Gardens Section of Al Rayyan Municipality has decorated and beautified Al Waab Roundabout, covering an area of 2,800sqm. Rubble was removed from the spot and replaced with soil along with proper irrigation lines.
Grass and seasonal flowers were planted there and all related preparations were made to beautify the place.
The Al Thakhira office of the Al Khor and Al Thakhira Municipality, in co-operation with other entities concerned, has installed a new barrier along Al Thakhira beach to protect beach-goers from passing vehicles. Besides, a children's play area has been created overlooking the beach to better serve residents of the area.
