AG holds talks with UK deputy chief crown prosecutor

HE the Attorney General (AG) Dr Ali Bin Fetais al-Marri yesterday met with the UK Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor, CPS Proceeds of Crime, Gary Balch.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on a number of issues of common concern and ways of co-operation in the legal and judicial fields.
This meeting was held on the sidelines of the opening of a training course organised by the Public Prosecutor in co-operation with its counterpart in the United Kingdom on judicial assistance and the proceeds of crime and extradition margin.
During the session, a number of specialists presented lectures on ways and means to facilitate judicial co-operation between the United Kingdom and the State of Qatar in the field of recovery of funds and extradition as part of the consolidation of the legal and judicial relations between the two friendly countries.
The workshop was also attended by a number of specialists from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, financial information unit of Qatar Central Bank, the Supreme Judicial Council and the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority.
