A Doha Misdemeanour Court is hearing a case in which a man is accused of causing annoyance to neighbours by raising livestock in his house.
According to local Arabic daily Arrayah, the neighbours filed a complaint against the man in the local municipality, alleging that foul smell would emanate from the barn located on his residential premises.
An inspector from the municipality visited the place and reported that the man had raised several animals and chicken, which exceeded the “reasonable numbers” needed for personal use and consumption, the daily said.
Besides, the report noted that the man did not take the necessary precautions to avoid the odour from spreading in the neighbourhood, thereby causing them discomfort.
The case is being heard in court.
