Strong winds and low visibility due to dusty conditions are expected in the country by Thursday afternoon, the Qatar Met department has said.

It will also be hot during the day, with the temperature likely to be over 40C in some areas.
Strong winds are likely in offshore areas, too, along with high seas, according to the weather report.
The wind speed may go up to 22 knots in some inshore areas by the afternoon and 30 knots in some offshore areas at times.
Earlier this week, the Met department had forecast that the country was likely to experience a spell of strong winds, dusty conditions and low visibility from this Thursday until Saturday. It had also issued a warning for offshore areas, advising people to avoid venturing into the sea during the spell of strong winds.
The detailed forecast for inshore areas on Thursday says misty to foggy conditions are likely in the early hours of the day, followed by a hot day with slight to blowing dust in some places by the afternoon.
Dusty conditions are also expected in some offshore areas at times.
Visibility, meanwhile, may drop to 2km or less by the afternoon owing to dust and will also be low in the early hours of the day due to foggy conditions.
After showing signs of dropping over the past few days, the temperature rose sharply at a number of places yesterday.
A maximum temperature of 43C was recorded on Wednesday in the Qatar University area, Al Rayyan, Sheehaniya and Al Khor, followed by 42C in the Doha airport area, Jumayliya, Batna, Karana and Turayna.
On Thursday, the mercury level is likely to go up even further, reaching a high of 44C in Al Khor, Mesaieed and Wakrah, and 43C in Doha. At the same time, major variations have also been forecast in the maximum and minimum temperature at a number of places, with the difference exceeding 20C in some cases.
For instance, the minimum temperature in Al Khor is expected to be around 21C, which is 23C less than the predicted maximum of 44C. Similarly, the minimum temperature in Mesaieed and Wakrah is expected to be 22C, which is also way below the maximum.
