PM visits Kahramaa facility, briefed on projects

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani on Thursday inspected the National Control Centre of Qatar General Electricity and Water Corp (Kahramaa) in Thumama area.

The Prime Minister was briefed on the important projects being implemented by the corporation, including the 2022 FIFA World Cup projects, the infrastructure of the plots of land designated for citizens and other projects as well as future plans.
He was informed about the crisis management mechanism, particularly the centre's monitoring and controlling system and Kahramaa's plan for dealing with crises.
The Prime Minister was also given a detailed briefing on Kahramaa's electronic services and achievements in key performance indicators in the field of electricity and water networks.
He was briefed on the solar power generating system linked directly to the electricity grid of the National Control Centre.
The Prime Minister lauded the efforts of Kahramaa's officials in both service and emergency centres and electronic services provided to all as well as the implemented plans to improve the service.
He underscored the importance of providing the best services to citizens and residents while continuing to attach great importance to infrastructure projects and their readiness as well as to the quick implementation of the infrastructure services of plots of land for citizens.
