HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday visited the Hamad bin Khalifa Medical City and inspected its new hospitals and health facilities. He went around the Women’s Wellness and Research Centre, Medical Care building, Emergency building, Hamad General Hospital, Qatar Rehabilitation Institute and the state-of-the-art operating rooms, along with other installations, facilities and research centres. The Deputy Emir listened to a detailed explanation by HE the Minister for Public Health Dr Hanan Mohamed al-Kuwari on the operating systems and the technical and operational mechanisms in the City. The Medical City is one of Qatar’s key healthcare projects and covers an area of 227,000 sq m. It aims to provide world-class healthcare. HH the Deputy Emir was accompanied by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani.
