The Doha Municipality, in cooperation with Al Fazaa and the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), has conducted a search campaign to spot violators of public cleanliness regulations and street vendors at Industrial Area.
In all, 25 violations of municipality laws and regulations were spotted.
Ali al-Hajiri, head of the public cleaning department, said that such campaigns will be held periodically in cooperation with others departments.
Last week, the MME conducted a number of cleaning campaigns at islands and beaches in Al Wakrah and Umm Al Hul. During the campaign, different types of waste materials were removed, in addition to three abandoned fridges. The campaign also covered Al Safilyah Island, Ras Al Nassah Port and Abu Fentas Area.
Hamad Juma al-Mannai, director, Al Shamal Municipality, has issued an administrative decision to partially close the department of fresh foods at a hypermarket at Madinat Al Shamal for seven days for displaying expired food products.
