Wakrah Municipality detects 32 violations

The health inspection section of the Wakrah Municipality conducted 195 field inspection tours in September.
These resulted in the issue of 32 reports for violation of law no.3 for 1975 on the commercial and industrial houses and public utilities. There were also two violations on the regulation of human food control.

Fines collected from these violations amounted to QR83,200. As much as 1,000kg of food unfit for human consumption was destroyed by the municipality.
On Monday, the municipality destroyed around 150kg of rotten fish during an inspection of the Wakrah fish market.
Meanwhile, Al Rayyan Municipality implemented 1,001 requests for fighting rodents and insects in September, 936 of which were for insects and 65 for rodents.
Further, 806 periodical campaigns to fight rodents and insects were conducted at the municipality during the month.
The health inspection section of the Umm Salal Municipality, in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, conducted an inspection campaign to make sure that food outlets within the jurisdiction of the municipality abide by the rules and regulations of food health and safety.
