Qatar played out a 1-1 draw against Iran in their opening match of the AFC U19 Championships which is being held in Bahrain.
Both goals of the match were scored by Iran’s Abolfazl Razzaghpour. Qatar took the lead through the defender’s own goal in the 38th minute.
Barely three minutes into the second half, Iran were reduced to 10-men but Razzaghpour made amends for his earlier mistake by scoring in the 58th minute.
Defending champions Qatar will face Yemen on October 17th in their next Group C match.
