Cyclists competing in the men’s juniors road race event as part of the 2016 UCI Road World Championships in Doha yesterday. Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) vice president Wagih Azzam yesterday praised Qatar for its successful hosting of the championships. The prestigious competition is being held in the Middle East for the first time. Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Azzam said the organisation level was of the highest order. Azzam said officials attending a UCI meeting in Doha agreed on the importance of holding more competitions in Arab and African countries.
