A Doha Criminal Court has ordered a young motorist to pay a fine of QR10,000 for causing damage to another vehicle while driving recklessly on a public road.
Local Arabic daily Arrayah reported on Friday that the defendant abruptly tried to overtake another vehicle and changed the lane. He hit the other car and caused it considerable damage as he was not paying attention.
He denied any wrong doing in the court. However, the court convicted him based on the traffic police report on the accident.
