‘Branding Evolution’ expo coming to Doha next month

A ‘Branding Evolution’ exhibition will make its Middle East debut in Qatar from November 6-20 at City Center Rotana in Doha, it was announced yesterday.
Under the patronage of the Italian embassy in Doha, the exhibition will feature and tell the history of famous Italian brands including Ferrari, Versace, Maserati, Lamborghini, Fendi, and Piaggio, among others.
“We want to share with Qatar something which belongs to our history,” Italian ambassador Guido De Sanctis told a press conference yesterday.
Popular artistes such as American singer Amii Stewart will be performing live at the event, according to Rosso Italiano managing director Laura Somma.
Four renowned sopranos, Incanto Quartet, will also serenade the guests with Italian opera and other popular classics, including a Qatari song with popular singer Ali Shaeen.
According to Rosso Italiano COO Ali al-Haj, the exhibition is targeting a large audience of different age groups and aims to further contribute to the development of the state in the field of arts, education, and other fields.
Branding Evolution, which made a mark in Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium, Turkey and Italy, is a platform considered as “essential and fundamental” by its curators and owners Museo del Marchio Italiano, Maurizio di Somma and Raffaele Fontanella.
“Students of design and communication will be attracted to see the real icons of Made in Italy,” Di Somma and Fontanella said.
Rosso Italiano CEO Essa Ahmed stressed that the artistic and visual journey the exhibition creates will guide visitors through the evolution of some of Italy’s “most famous and loved brands.”
Branding Evolution will also feature authentic Italian cuisine prepared by chefs Frank Bordoni and Nawal al-Sayed.
Famous Qatari presenter Hamad al-Amari will entertain guests during the gala event while Pinella Passaro, known as the best of Made in Italy, will showcase her outstanding high-fashion dresses.
Pier Antonio Friso, an artist whose shoes have been worn by countless Hollywood celebrities, will also attend the opening with his creations. Rosso Italiano will establish an annual award to recognise local personalities who contribute to the growth and development of Qatar.
