Indian entrepreneur and long-time Doha resident Vincent Kannath’s mother Elachar Anthony Kannath (88) passed away yesterday in Kuriachira, Thrissur, in India’s Kerala state.
Vincent Kannath is the operations manager at Gem Advertising and Publications and partner of Advent Worldwide, Doha. His brother Jacob Kannath (formerly with State Bank of Travancore) is manager at Al Jazeera Printing Press in Doha.
Besides Vincent and Jacob, she is survived by her children Annie Paul, Sr Flowery, Dennis and Kochuthressia. Three of her children – Sr Sheela Kannath (Palakkad), K A Baby (QTel) and K A Joseph – had predeceased her. Two of her daughters-in-law – Sonia Mary Vincent (Advent Worldwide) and Sini Baby (Qatar Shell) – also live
in Qatar.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 11am at St Mary’s Forane Church, Kandassankadavu, Thrissur.
