HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday met Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas at Al Bahr Palace. The meeting reviewed bilateral relations between the two fraternal countries and the latest developments in the Palestinian arena. In addition, the meeting discussed Qatar’s efforts to achieve reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas movements in order to unite the Palestinian front in the face of Israeli actions of aggression as well as achieve the ambitions of the Palestinian people in restoring their legitimate national rights. During the meeting, the Palestinian president hailed Qatar’s firm and unwavering support for the Palestinian issue and its humanitarian efforts and relief initiatives for the Palestinian people. He also praised the constant efforts of HH the Emir to end the division and achieve the national Palestinian reconciliation.
