President of National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) Dr Ali bin Sumaikh al-Marri held a meeting yesterday with the director of Middle East and North Africa at the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mohamed Eagles. The NHRC stressed its support to the efforts of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights in the Arab World. The two sides reviewed challenges facing the Arab World and the role of the
national institutions and governments in solving them. They stressed on the
importance of co-operation to develop the capabilities of national human rights institutions.
