The Gulf Organisation for Industrial Consulting (Goic) has concluded the industrial classification training course held recently in Doha.
At the end of the training, Goic secretary general Abdulaziz bin Hamad al-Ageel distributed participants’ certificates and highlighted Goic’s role in strengthening the capacities of the Gulf industrial sector’s staff.
The participants of the training were employees involved in industrial classifications at the Qatar’s Ministry of Energy and Industry, Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD), Oman’s Public Establishment for Industrial Real Estate (PEIE), Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Kuwait’s Public Authority for Industry (PAI).
The course, delivered by Goic economic specialist Hatem al-Rashid, was aimed at reinforcing the competencies of people working in the areas of industrial statistics, developing industrial statistical work, and coordinating and unifying statistical methods adopted in various economic activities.
It was also aimed at introducing the latest ISIC4 updates, conversion methods, and the harmonised system (HS), Goic said.
Goic offers a number of training workshops in various fields through its Training and Capacity Development Programme (TCD). Goic aims to improve individual and organisational capacities in the industrial sector in GCC countries and Yemen.
