HIA welcomes Audi fleet to shuttle passengers

Hamad International Airport (HIA) has welcomed a brand-new fleet of Audi luxury cars that will be consigned to shuttle VIPs.

The premium fleet includes the Audi Q7, RS 6 Avant and A8L, according to a statement.
The announcement was made at a special handover ceremony, attended by Qatar Airways Group chief executive Akbar al-Baker, HIA chief operating officer Badr Mohamed al-Meer, Audi AG vice-president of overseas sales Terrence Johnson and Audi Middle East brand director Enrico Atanasio.
Al-Baker said, “At HIA, we have always been keen on providing our passengers with the ultimate experience of travelling in comfort. Our new partnership with Audi is a testimony of our commitment to providing our esteemed guests with the most exquisite services, through this premium international gateway in Qatar.”
The partnership with HIA “underlines Audi Qatar’s commitment to provide world-class automotive comfort to its clients”. The fleet has been specially flown in from Ingolstadt, the heart of Audi manufacturing in Germany. Renowned for their precise engineering and sophistication, each model will “perfectly complement the airport’s cutting-edge facility and further enhance the travel experience of its premium travellers”, the statement notes.
“We are delighted to present our most exclusive models for the luxurious limousine service offered by HIA. We are confident that the Audi fleet will stand as a valuable asset to Qatar’s award-winning airport,” said Johnson.
HIA is an award-winning airport that recently won first place on the list of best airports in Middle East and 10th among worldwide airports, according to the Skytrax website. The awards are based on travellers’ feedback on services provided, reflecting quality, ease of service and superior facilities for passengers.
Celebrating 35 years of Quattro, the all-new Q7 is a combination of trend-setting design and precision dynamics, while the RS 6 Avant features a V8 engine and “best in range” acceleration speeds, reaching a maximum of 305km/h. For passengers seeking even greater space and luxury, the A8L is set to thrill with its increased legroom and elegant upholstery.
