HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Mohamed Abdul Wahed Ali al-Hammadi has hailed the directives of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani on the role and duties of public sector employees, which featured in HH the Emir’s speech during the opening of the 45th ordinary session of the Advisory Council.
HE Dr al-Hammadi said the directives, which stipulate that employees don’t neglect their work duties as well as accomplishing tasks on time, accurately and in complete integrity, should be closely implemented in the educational sector.
He made the remarks during a speech at Qatar Leadership Center (QLC) as he honoured principals of independent schools who completed their basic training programme, which was organised by the ministry’s educational training and development centre in co-ordination with QLC.
The event took place in the presence of HE Sheikh Dr Abdullah bin Ali al-Thani, QLC member of the board of directors and managing director.
Dr al-Hammadi called on principals of independent schools to focus on the issue of education quality, saying that the challenge now is how to bring quality academic learning to students and how to improve their skills and thinking.
He also urged principals to provide all capacities for employees so that they can achieve their tasks accurately and with punctuality and integrity.
The minister called for innovative ways of teaching that address the individual difference among students and explore their talents and mental abilities and develop them.
