Guidebook on conditions to grant licences for schools

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has issued a guidebook on the conditions and procedures to grant licences for private schools in the country.
The guidebook was issued by the Private Schools Office at the ministry’s Education Institute, the official Qatar News Agency reported yesterday.
It aims to unify the procedures, conditions and requirements to obtain a licence for operating a private school in the country. It further specifies the tasks and duties of the department concerned at the ministry towards the applicant for a private school licence, as well as the applicant’s tasks and duties.
In general, the guidebook aims to spread awareness on the terms and conditions to obtain a private school licence. In addition, it highlights the vision and targets of the ministry on the issue with a detailed explanation of the objectives.
The ministry stressed that there should be confidence and trust in the quality of services provided by the private schools.
All private schools in the country are subject to the supervision of the ministry and are followed up through a comprehensive process regarding licences and evaluation.
