HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani issued ratification documents, endorsing agreements between Qatar and Venezuela in the legal and youth and sports fields between Qatar and Venezuela signed in Caracas on November 25, 2015.
The Emir issued another ratification document, endorsing a memorandum of understanding between the Qatar Central Bank and the Central Bank of Venezuela, which was also signed in Caracas on November 25, 2015.
Additionally, the Emir issued a ratification document, endorsing the ratification of a draft co-operation agreement in the cultural and artistic fields between Qatar and Mexico, which was signed in Doha on January 21, 2016, as well as the diplomatic memos exchanged between them on the endorsement of an amendment to the text of the second article of the agreement.
The Emir also issued a ratification document, endorsing aviation agreement between the two countries, which was signed in Mexico City on November 24, 2015.
New envoys to France, Germany
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday issued Emiri Decision No 54 of 2016, appointing Khalid Rashid Salem al-Homoudi al-Mansouri as ambassador to France.
The Emir also issued Emiri Decision No 55 of 2016, appointing Sheikh Saud bin Abdurrahman bin Hassan al-Thani as ambassador to Germany.
The decisions are effective from the date of their issue and are to be published in the official gazette.
Retirement and pension law
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday issued Law No 14 of 2016, amending some provisions of Law No 24 of 2002 on retirement and pensions, with the law stipulating that Article 23 of Law No 24 of 2002 shall be abolished.
The law is effective from the date of its issue and and is to be published in the official gazette.
