The third edition of The Color Run presented by Sahtak Awalan: Your Health First will be held at Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) on January 28, as the Tropicolor World Tour makes its mark in Doha.
This follows the success of previous editions of the initiative, with thousands expected to join the fun at the January event, according to a press statement from the organisers.
“Color Runners are promised a lively island-style experience complete with lots more fun and colour, as they run, walk, dance, jog or even skip through the 5km course with their family and friends, while getting covered head to toe in colour at every kilometre mark,” the statement noted.
Participants have been advised to arrive at QNCC by around 7am on the day of the event, with the first wave of runners setting off at 8.30am.
The initiative encourages and empowers participants of all ages and abilities to focus on being healthy and happy in a relaxed running environment.
It is once again supported by Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar, whose health campaign Sahtak Awalan: Your Health First will present the event.
Nesreen al-Rifai, chief communications officer for WCM-Q, said: “Our Sahtak Awalan: Your Health First campaign really emphasises taking the time to focus on you and your health but in a fun and relaxing way, which is why we have once again partnered with The Color Run for a third year running.”
