Marriott International hotels celebrate Global Customer Appreciation Week

Eight Marriott International hotels in Qatar have taken the opportunity to thank customers as part of the Global Customer Appreciation Week.

The occasion was celebrated from November 6 to 10 with an array of sales activities, executive calls and ‘Spirit to Serve Our Community’ initiatives, according to a press statement.

Every year, Marriott International thanks its most loyal customers and partners for their business during the Global Customer Appreciation Week. The initiative has become a cultural pillar for all Marriott hotels worldwide, showing appreciation to customers for their continuous support and loyalty, the statement notes.

The initiative includes visits by sales associates from eight Marriott International properties in Qatar to top corporate clients and customers to reinforce relationships, while taking the opportunity to establish new connections with new clients. Also, it is for the first time that Marriott International and Starwood Hotels and Resorts are celebrating the special occasion jointly after the merger.

Participating hotels are Doha Marriott Hotel, Marriott Marquis City Center Doha, The Ritz-Carlton Doha, Sharq Village & Spa, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Sheraton Grand Doha, The St Regis Doha, W Doha and The Westin Hotel & Spa.

Marriott International Middle East and Africa chief sales and marketing officer Neal Jones said, “In Qatar, our hotel portfolio doubled this year, now offering eight hotels across six exciting brands. The Global Customer Appreciation Week provides us with an invaluable opportunity to personally thank our guests and customers for their ongoing support and commitment towards Marriott International.”

The highlight of the week’s celebration was a grand customer event on November 8, hosted at the Marriott Marquis City Center Doha. The event was also attended by Marriott International and Ritz-Carlton regional representatives, including Paul Dalgleish, vice-president for sales, Marriott Middle East & Africa.

Some 450 guests were able to explore all eight Marriott International properties in Doha and treated to an entertaining evening with live music from the Doha Jazz Band and culinary signatures from all eight participating hotels.

Throughout the Global Customer Appreciation Week, the sales and marketing teams of all eight Marriott International hotels are organising various community initiatives in and around Doha.
