Barwa Bank has announced the winners of the 13th round of draw winners for Thara’a, its Shariah-compliant savings account.
The winners were Mohamed Alawi S A al-Yafei, Amer Mamdouh Hommos, Kayingil Mohamed Kutty Abdutty and Hamed Hussain A al-Saiari, each winning cash prize of QR10,000.
Also, a cash prize of QR5,000 was awarded to Salah Ibrahim A al-Remaihi, Amel Ibrahim M A al-Emadi, Ali Zaid N J al-Dosari, Ishaq Mahmoud al-Najjar, Nawaf Majed G A al-Maadheed, Rashid Mahboub Kh B al-Dosari and Nojoud Yousef J M al-Jaber.
Thara’a offers account holders the chance to benefit from cash rewards up to QR1mn, a first for Islamic banks in Qatar. Based on several criteria, Thara’a account holders are eligible for several periodic draws for cash prizes. Totaling QR3mn, Thara’a cash rewards are distributed on both a monthly and biannual basis to customers holding a minimum balance of QR10,000.
On a monthly basis, there are seven winners per draw for the cash prize of QR5,000, as well as four winners per draw for the cash prize of QR10,000. Additionally, twice-a- year there are four winners per draw for the cash prize of QR25,000; two winners per draw for the cash prize of QR50,000 and one winner per draw for the grand prize of QR1mn. Rewarding 102 winners in total with cash prizes up to QR3mn.
