QDA’s animated series on diabetes wins Telly Award

An animated series entitled Rashid: Living with Type 1 Diabetes, has been awarded a Telly Award for Film/Video at the 37th Annual Telly Awards, honouring “the finest film and video productions.”
The series was created by Chocolate Moose Media for the Qatar Diabetes Association (QDA) and sponsored by Oryx GTL.
The series is available at https://vimeo.com/album/3676842 for free viewing, downloading and use by any organisation or person.
Comprising 12 animated shorts in high-end 3D animation and voiced in Arabic and English, the series aims to increase awareness of children with Type 1 diabetes.
Dr Abdulla al-Hamaq, executive director of QDA, described the award as a big bonus that will inspire the organisation’s diabetes awareness campaign.
“These videos will serve as a tool for us to easily disseminate information and uphold the rights of children with Type 1 diabetes.”
Thamer Ali al-Kaabi, acting public relations manager, Oryx GTL expressed pride in sponsoring the work of the QDA, offering support to patients and their families and raising awareness about the impact of diabetes.
The project is part of Oryx GTL’s long-term corporate social responsibility strategy, which contributes to the human and social pillars of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
Chocolate Moose Media’s Firdaus Kharas hoped that the award-winning series will be put to good and extensive use for the benefit of children living with Type 1 diabetes.
