Dukhan South Service Road traffic diversion

Year-long traffic diversion on Dukhan South Service Road

A 2km section of the Dukhan South Service Road (DSSR) will be closed for one year and the traffic to the Dukhan North Service Road between the Temporary Truck Route and the Dehailiyat Interchange would be diverted from November 18.

The closure, designed in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, is required to enable the construction and connection of a bridge on the New Orbital Highway and Truck Route project.
Ashghal will divert road users who usually use the DSSR to the Dukhan North Service Road, which will provide one lane in each direction for traffic. The speed limit will continue to be 80kph.
Service road vehicles that use the DSSR to travel from Dukhan to Doha will now need to use the Dehailiyat Interchange and take the exit at the Dukhan North Service Road before travelling eastbound towards the Temporary Truck Route (TTR) and onwards to Doha (as shown on the map).
The service road vehicles that use the DSSR to travel from Doha to Dukhan will now require to turn right at the roundabout on the TTR and travel in a north east direction before turning left onto the Dukhan North Service Road and continuing towards Dukhan.
Those using using the Dukhan Highway mainline will not be affected by the traffic change, and can continue to utilise the major expressway to travel between Dukhan and Doha.
