Qatar won an award from Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ISESCO) in the field of science and technology.
Vice-president for Research & Graduate Studies professor Mariam Ali S A al-Maadeed received the award for research related to the electric, mechanical, thermal and physical properties of polymers and its applications.
Secretary-General of Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science Dr Hamda Hassan al-Sulaiti said that the award was the first of its kind for the State of Qatar from ISESCO.
