Food inspectors have destroyed 300kg of rotten fruits at the wholesale market and warned the importers of strict action, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) has said in a Tweet.

A cafeteria in the Industrial Area was also issued a violation report for flouting Law No.3 for 1975 on commercial, industrial and similar entities that conduct business with the public.
A worker at the cafeteria was found preparing food without wearing gloves and head cover.
Meanwhile, Al Wakrah Municipality has planted 160,000 seedlings of flowers in the area under its jurisdiction.
Maintenance work at the Al Wakrah fishing port has started and will continue for around three months in order to develop the facilities.
