Strong winds in some areas forecast

Strong winds are expected in parts of the country during the daytime, the Qatar Met department has said in its forecast for Sunday.

Offshore areas, too, are likely to experience strong winds today along with high seas, according to the weather report.
The wind speed may go up to 22 knots in some inshore areas and 30 knots in offshore areas towards the north.
The detailed forecast for inshore areas today also says hazy to misty conditions are expected in some places in the early hours of the day, followed by mild temperature during the daytime with slight dust and some clouds. It will be relatively cold by night.
Hazy conditions are also likely in some offshore areas at first, followed by slight dust and clouds.
A minimum temperature of 17C is expected in Mesaieed, Wakrah and Abu Samra on Sunday, while in Doha it will be relatively higher at 21C. The maximum, on the other hand, will be 30C in Doha and some other places.
On Saturday, a minimum temperature of 15C was recorded in Mesaieed, Abu Samra and Karana, followed by 16C in Al Khor, Al Sheehaniya and other places. In the capital, a minimum of 19C was recorded in the Qatar University area. The maximum, meanwhile, was 31C in the Doha airport area, Al Rayyan and Al Khor.
