Tickets are now on sale for the ‘Match of Champions’, featuring FC Barcelona and Al Ahli SC, which takes place at Al Gharafa Stadium in Doha on December 13.
Ticket packages are available to travellers from the GCC now, ahead of the general ticket release, to buy exclusively from Qatar Airways Holidays online at www.qatarairways.com/cup and from Qatar Airways approved travel agents within the Gulf region, according to a statement.
While FC Barcelona is one of the most successful football clubs in the history of the sport, Al Ahli SC is the recent winner of the Saudi Professional League, Saudi Super Cup and King Cup.
Qatar Airways Holidays is also offering match packages for fans of both teams travelling to Doha from the GCC, including flights, hotels and match tickets, all available to book through its website - qatarairways.com/cup
Travellers can select from a number of match packages, which offer stays in up to 15 of Doha’s hotels, including 5-star venues Oryx Rotana, Sharq Village and Spa, and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
Qatar Airways Holidays exclusive offers include airport transfers, breakfast and additional hotel services such as spa and meal offers. Additional services can also be booked as part of the package, including car rental and tours.
Travellers can choose from Gold, Silver and Burgundy tiered football tickets as part of the match packages. Gold tier provides VIP tickets inclusive of hospitality, Silver tier offers general entry tickets while Burgundy tier offers tickets located behind the football goals.
Qatar Airways Holidays will provide e-tickets to those customers who book match packages online.
The exclusive match packages available from Qatar Airways Holidays are valid for travel between December 9 and 17. Match tickets can only be purchased from Qatar Airways Holidays as part of a package.
Meanwhile, in addition to securing tickets for the football match, visitors have been encouraged to book tours with Discover Qatar while planning their visit to Doha.
