Online auction for fancy number plates
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) is set to hold the fifth online auction for fancy number plates, with the bidding process to be conducted through the MoI’s Metrash2 application from 12noon tomorrow until 10pm on November 24. To take part in the auction, those interested have to make a security deposit of QR20,000 while the bidding will start at QR100,000. Successful bidders should finalise the purchase of their number plates within two working days of the auction’s conclusion and make the necessary payment. If unable to complete the procedures within the designated period, a potential buyer will forfeit the right to own the plate number and the security sum will be registered as fees against his ID number to be collected while conducting any transaction at the Traffic Department. The numbers in the auction include 333300, 331333, 331331, 393399, 422244, 333434 and 333222, among others. If there are more bids in the final quarter of an hour, the time will be extended by another 15 minutes.

Exercise to assess school performance
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education launched yesterday the annual comprehensive questionnaire at all the schools across the country. The questionnaire aims at assessing the performance of the schools and students with a view to raise the quality of education outcomes, and enhance performance. The Evaluation Institute conducts the exercise to collect data and information on the various aspects of the educational process. It helps also in updating the database of the Ministry. The second phase of this questionnaire, to be launched in Mid-February next year, will target students, parents and teachers.
